The driver of Italian businessman Edoardo Sarchi, who was killed after midnight in Salari, Tepelena, has testified that Gazmend Braçe is the author of the murder.

The dark past of Gazmend Braçe
Gazmend Braçe is the son of Eqerem Braçe, and the grandson of Gramoz Ruçi.
Gazmend Braçe was arrested in 2019 after he took the gun from the belt of a police patrol officer and wounded Aleksandër Zhapaj with it while the two were accompanying a relative injured during a fight in a bar in Levan, Fier, to the hospital.
Gazmend Braçe, 22 years old at the time, was accused of the criminal offenses of "Attempted Intentional Murder" and "Assault due to the duty of a public order employee."

How the aftermath at the hospital happened in August 2019
The conflict with sticks, knives, baseball bats, and even the use of firearms on August 31 in Fier, which later led to the armed clash inside the hospital premises, occurred as a result of a cold and crooked look between Mili Monellari and Donian Zhapaj, who was in the company of his fiancée. Mili Monellari, who stared at him, but they did not speak a word together. When Donian returned home, he sat down for coffee with his father Aleksandr and his other brother Aldo. During this time, Mili Monellari called him, who told him about coffee. Donian went to a bar called "Darion", while he did not tell his father and brother. At the bar, he met Mili, while other people stood at a distance. Then a person named Gazi Braçja approached him, who told him that Mili was his brother-in-law and what he had to do with him. After the declarant explained the situation, Gaz Braçja cursed at him and punched him in the shoulder.
The declarant did not react and left the bar, going to his father, Aleksandër, where he claimed that he had gotten into a fight with the sons of Eqerem Braçe, the latter a former deputy mayor of Levan and a person with criminal records and political connections in the Fier region. The emergence of this conflict forced both parties to meet again, in a cafe called "4-A". But now the parties in this meeting, with the aim of clarifying the conflict, have been regrouped and equipped with firearms, knives, baseball bats, sticks and various objects.
Instead of the discussion going in the direction of clarifying and extinguishing the conflict, the meeting served to add even more fuel to the fire, leading to a clash between the two groups, which then escalated to the use of weapons inside the emergency room of the hospital in Fier. In this clash, the three Zhapaj brothers were injured. The injured man was left with a knife in his stomach and Klajdi Lamaj, who started shouting "ooo what are you doing... what are you doing...", asked the waiter of the bar for help to remove the knife he had in his right arm, at the bottom of his stomach, and the waiter removed the knife that was stuck in his stomach.
While Alekandër Zhapaj, seeing his three sons lying on the floor of the bar and one of them shouting "...shoot them because they killed us...", fired a single shot with the couple he had brought with him, a weapon he had with permission. This shot in the air led to the departure from the scene of the group led by Eqerem Braçe's sons, moving the clash this time with weapons inside the emergency room of the Fier hospital, which brought the state bodies of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to their feet. This is because the weapon used to commit the crime inside the hospital was a Kalashnikov assault rifle that was held in the arms of the Fier police officer Arjan Memaj./Bold News
