Today, the next hearing of the "Golden Bullet" case took place at the Special Court. Erjon Alibej testified before the trial panel, providing details about his acquaintance with Plaurent Dervishaj. He stated that the contact between them dates back to 2019, shortly before the assassination attempt on him, which according to him occurred in March or early April of that year.
According to the testimony, the meeting with Dervishaj was aimed at clarifying the serious events that had affected his family, as Alibej sought to find out the perpetrators of the crimes against his relatives.
Continuing the story, he added that Dervishaj used encrypted communication applications such as EncroChat and Sky ECC, where in the latter he operated under the pseudonym "Barcelona".
Erion Alibej: I have known Plaurent Dervishaj since 2019 before he was assassinated in March or early April. We met at “Liri i Cigareve”, there is a factory in Librazhd. Plaurent came with another guy, I later identified him as “Mond Çekiçi”. He was in a BMW 7 series, dark blue. The reason for the meeting was about the events that had happened to my family. I was interested in who had committed the crimes against my family. Plaurent was known as “Lenti”. I had the EnchoChat and Sky Ecc applications.
My nicknames were “Noku” and “Kumi”. Plaurenti had both platforms. On Sky he had the nickname “Barcelona”. We communicated when he was assassinated in Durrës. I told him thank goodness you survived. What I heard about the assassination attempt on him, I told him. He judged for himself what he considered information. In the meeting with Plaurenti, I heard the name Redjan Rraja for the first time when a prosecutor was assassinated. When the assassination took place, I knew very well that he had done it. When I asked Plaurenti and said how it was possible that the author was discovered so quickly, Plaurenti told me Redjan Rraja’s name. He said yes, he is a friend of mine and he barely got into the car with the guys, he wanted to participate too.
