These are the heartbreaking words of a mother who lost her daughter in tragic circumstances. More than a month after the tragedy that shocked public opinion, the pain in the family of Xhuana Nikollaj remains unquenched. The 25-year-old, who according to relatives ended her life after violence from her husband, is no longer alive, but the wounds she left behind are still open.
For the first time, her parents open the doors of their home and heart to Top Channel, recounting the most difficult month of their lives... a month of pain, unanswered questions, and memories that do not fill the void left by their daughter.
"It was very difficult for us because it came suddenly, a lot of pain for us. The girl was very well in her dreams, happy. Except when we got the news that she was in the hospital. We took the daughter-in-law, with school... they brought the girl in the coffin.
"My appeal is that that boy should not have touched my daughter. God willing, his family will go and take him and bring him to justice and suffer for what he did to our daughter," her mother said.
"When he is arrested, we are a little relieved," she adds.
Amid the pain of losing their daughter, the father talks about the signs of violence that, according to him, were visible on Xhuana's body. He adds that her phone has not yet been opened by the police, a detail that, according to the family, could shed light on the truth.
"I am in great pain, I appeal to the institutions to put their hand on their heart and bring justice to the crime that this criminal committed and to catch him as soon as possible. My daughter did not owe him anything. Anyone who sees him should be reported and brought to justice."
"Experts should take and open my daughter's phone. The day we pulled the body from the morgue, there were marks on her jaw, body, arm, everywhere, she acted like she was a savage. I want her punished as much as possible... Her jaw is marked, maybe she gave her the poison with difficulty. We don't know," said her father.
Amidst tears and pain that, according to them, will never go away, the Nikollaj family has a direct appeal...
"We want that boy to be caught, Eraldo Fizi, to serve his sentence and to tell us why he beat our sister," said the deceased's sister.
A destroyed family, a daughter who is no more, and a call that demands answers... justice for Juana.
