Fatmir Troplini is one of the persons declared wanted by order of SPAK, as he is suspected of being involved in the failed assassination attempt against Preng Gjin, an event that occurred in 2020.
Wanted by SPAK, Fatmir Troplini, also known as "Miri i Pojë", is suspected of having planned the assassination of the 55-year-old, reports journalist Klodiana Lala.
The remote-controlled mine attack on Preng Gjini took place in the capital on the evening of September 15, 2020.
400 grams of C4 was placed in the lower part of the car driven by Preng Gjini, from Rresheni, and exploded when he was traveling over the Lana River bridge, located in the area known as the former End Station of New Tirana.
The explosion was so powerful that it was felt in a wide range, even in areas of Tirana that are located far from the scene. Due to this explosion, two passers-by, an Italian citizen and a child were slightly injured.
He underwent a long and delicate surgical intervention, due to the many injuries he suffered from the explosion.
