A fire has broken out at the Babrru asylum center. According to police, the fire is suspected to have been caused by an electrical spark.
Fortunately, no one was injured, as they were evacuated in time, while firefighters extinguished the flames in time. The incident occurred this morning, and as a result of the fire, there was only material damage.
"On 16.01.2025, at around 08:40, it is suspected that as a result of an electrical spark, a fire broke out at the asylum seeker center in Babrru.
"The Police Services have evacuated the people inside the center in time. Thanks to the immediate intervention of the fire service, it was possible to extinguish the fire. As a result of the fire, there is only material damage," the police announced.
The investigation team is working to determine the exact cause of the fire.
