The perpetrator of the murder of the 81-year-old man in Shëngjin i Vogël, Isuf Hasa, has admitted to the serious crime. He testified to the police, also indicating the reason that led him to kill the elderly man.
Isuf Hasa stated that the victim insulted and cursed him every time he saw him in the village. In front of the police agents, the 64-year-old told that he had gone to Xhemal Meta's house and they had had coffee while an argument started. He even raised allegations that the old man had thrown words at him and harassed his wife.
"In the morning I went to Xhemal's house and had coffee. After we finished there we decided to go to the village bar. In the yard of his house I saw where the hammer was. I took it and shot him from behind. He had been bullying and insulting me for a long time. I had realized that he was harassing my wife. I work as a night watchman in Dajt and there were times when I didn't go home for three nights. Xhemal would call me and say: "Why don't you give us some of your wife's brandy once?" I couldn't stand it for a long time. After I killed him, I took the money. I knew he had it because he had told me himself. Then I went to the electric station and I drove to Tirana in one of their cars. Then I went to the girl's house in Vora ," said Isuf Hasa in his testimony.
Police sources indicate that Isuf Hasa was escorted even after the incident and was intentionally released, while initially denying any involvement. But later, through evidence, it was revealed that he was the perpetrator. This time, he was handcuffed in his home.
The serious incident occurred 3 days ago. The elderly man was found dead in the yard of his apartment, with serious injuries to the back of his head. Thus, the police launched further investigations into the murder. It is learned that his neighbor hit him with a hammer on the morning of January 13, leaving him dead on the spot. He then took 200 thousand new lek that Meta had in his pocket and left the scene.
The blue uniforms also conducted searches in the apartment of Isuf Hasa's daughter in the village of Gjokaj, Vora, where they found the hammer with which the 64-year-old committed the crime.
