The 25-year-old man who injured Elvis Halilaj, 29, a relative of the mayor of Kukes, surrenders to the police.
Police say that Sebastian Muçmata has surrendered himself to the police.
Halilaj is the cousin of the Mayor of Kukes, Albert Halilaj, who after a conflict was injured by Sebastian Muçmata, who is the brother of Zenel Muçmata, who is the Director of the Services Directorate in the Kukes Municipality.
" Following the information provided earlier, regarding the gunshot wound to citizen EH, during a conflict for weak motives, we inform you that:
Thanks to rapid and intensive investigative actions, continuous police checks and constant communication with family members, at around 9:00 PM, the suspected perpetrator, citizen SM, 25 years old, resident of Kukës, surrendered himself along with the pistol-type firearm, which he is suspected of having used in this incident.
"Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, work continues to clarify and fully document the incident ," the police announced.
