Five 'hawks' have been arrested in the middle of the robbery, inside a gold deposit, in the Salamanca district of Madrid.
The arrested are between 30-45 years old, where two of them are Albanians and the other three are Spanish.
The National and Municipal Police announced that they arrested the suspects on Sunday, amid an attempted robbery of a gold sales company in the Salamanca neighborhood.
A business that, in addition to minerals, had in its warehouse precious metals, coins and other items of great value.
It was the residents of the neighborhood who encountered the perpetrators when they opened a hole in the wall of the building, from the back of the business, with a diameter of more than 60 centimeters. From there they entered the upper floor of the palace.
The surprised perpetrators were wearing hats and gloves. They also had a vehicle parked in the area, inside which they found materials and also suspected stolen license plates, "Eldebate" writes.
This event happened 24 hours after another theft was committed in a luxury store in the same neighborhood of Madrid. It is estimated that the perpetrators took Valentino brand bags, worth around 100,000 euros, but it is not known if they are the same.
