Theft in public transport buses is an almost daily problem, as many people have faced something like this.
The safety expert, Fatjon Softa, explained how people can show caution on the buses, as he was invited to the "7pa5" show.
He said that "pickpockets" choose certain categories of people and advised citizens not to expose their wallets.
"Tirana has started to be a worrying problem. Recently there was that incident about a person who stole and got out of the security window.
Whoever thinks that they will be able to distinguish them from their face or clothes is wrong. There are some rules you should keep in mind to avoid becoming a victim of these thefts. Usually these people stay near the bus exits. They never act alone and choose their victim. They choose people of a certain age, where there are parents with small children who are careless because of the children and people who look at them as perverts. Never use your wallet on public transport, have the money you have to give ready. Never expose the protofol. Cards should not be in the same place as everyday coins. Carry your backpacks in front and preferably with your back to the window.
Do not use the back and side pockets for wallets and briefcases. Internal pockets must be used and must be zippered. We can tell them because they sometimes carry magazines and newspapers to hide what they have taken.
They are always behind people's backs. There are always more than one," he said.
