The Fier Prosecutor's Office has seized other assets of businessman Saimir Taullau.
It is learned that 3 apartments, 2 fields and a plot of land were seized from him. The prosecution suspects that the property was obtained from drug trafficking activities.
" On the basis of Law 10192, dated 03.12.2009 "On preventing and combating organized crime, trafficking and corruption through preventive measures against wealth", as amended, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Fier, has registered and is conducting investigations for criminal property proceedings no. 1, year 2024, which refers to the assets owned by the ST citizen, as well as his relatives and natural persons, specifically AT, F. T, MT, ET, VT and KT citizens , for whom there is sufficient evidence that their assets are owned indirectly by the ST citizen. It is suspected that these assets originate from the criminal activity of the ST citizen, specifically from the criminal offenses provided by articles 283 and 283/a of the Code Criminal ", announces the prosecution.
The seized properties are:
- Property no. 1/527, ZK 8572, vol. 25, p. 96, located in the "Loni Dhamo" neighborhood, Lushnje, of the "plot" type;
- Property no. 104/44, ZK 3268, vol 2, pg, 182, located in Savër, Lushnje, of the "field" type, with an area of 15,323 m2;
- Property no. 857/28, ZK 2087, vol. 8, p. 193, located in Karbunare e Poshtme, Lushnje, "field" type;
- Property no. 151/2+1-10, ZK 3266, located in Sauk, Tirana, type "apartment", with an area of 128 m2;
- Property no. 102/22-16, ZK 3266, located in Sauk, Tirana, apartment type with an area of 96.17 m2; AND
- Property no. 104/81+2-21, ZK 3266, located in Sauk, Tirana, type "apartment", with an area of 105.57 m2.
Who is the businessman from Lushnja, Saimir Taullau?
In 2018, the businessman from Lushnja was assassinated with a firearm at the Plow roundabout in Lushnja. He was shot with a machine gun in front of his bar by some people on a motorcycle and in masks. The bullets only touched the glass of the bar, while Taullu was slightly injured.
The 54-year-old is the brother of Baki Taullau and is registered by the State Police as a person with a previous criminal record.
Saimir Taullau is known to many as a businessman in Lushnje, but he has also expanded his activity in Greece and Italy. While in Lushnje, the Taullau family is known as a rival of Aldo Bare's gang.
In 2005, Baki Taullau was killed while Saimir, his brother when he testified, accused the members of this group as perpetrators of the murder by order of Bare.
The conflict allegedly started in 1997, when Aldo Bare's gang increased its influence in Lushnje. The Taullau family owned a gas station and several businesses. Bare asked to recruit Saimir Taullaun to the group, who refused. From this moment, the gang started imposing fines on the family up to 500,000 euros, ending in the murder of Baki Taullaut.
In his testimony before the court in 2008, Saimir Taullau said that his brother, Baki Taullau, was the victim of the fines of Aldo Bare's group. As Taullau testified at the time, his brother had paid several times the fines that Bare's group had imposed, and when he stopped paying them, he was killed.
The Prosecutor's Office of Fier has previously seized some real estate belonging to the citizen Saimir Taullau and 6 of his relatives, as it is suspected that they are assets derived from the criminal activity of drug trafficking.
It is announced that some plots of land, business facilities, apartments, fuel and some basements have been seized. All these assets are owned by Saimir Taullau and his relatives.
