A 42-year-old man, identified as Alfred Llozhi, was arrested by Tirana police after he abused his cohabitant and attempted to burn her and their apartment.
It is learned that the couple had constant conflicts due to jealousy. The day before, they had argued after Llozhi claimed that his wife had cursed at his mother. "Why did you curse at my mother," he said.
The 42-year-old man poured gasoline on his wife and the house and then tried to burn them down. It was the woman who called the police, preventing the incident from escalating.
"Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 1 arrested A. Ll., 42 years old, on suspicion of having exercised violence against his cohabitant, as well as attempting to burn her and their apartment ," the police announced.
