Two people were arrested in Elbasan, after a Kalashnikov firearm was found in the car they were traveling in.
Aurel Kaçaniku, 32 years old, previously convicted in Germany, who was a driver, and Renaldo Sadushi, 30 years old, with a record for injury and opposition to police officers, who was a passenger, have fallen into handcuffs.
During the checks, 1 Kalashnikov firearm with combat ammunition was found under the passenger seat.
"As part of the operation, the Police services, based on the information provided during the proactive investigation, have stopped for checks, on "Iliaz Kosova" street, the vehicle driven by the citizen AK, 32 years old (previously convicted in Germany), and with a passenger, a citizen of RS, 30 years old (with a precedent for injury and opposition to police officers).
During the checks, 1 Kalashnikov firearm with military ammunition was found under the passenger's seat, which was possessed by the arrested persons without permission.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction, for further actions", the police informs.
