Two Albanians have been extradited to Albania from Germany and the United Kingdom.
According to the police, 34-year-old Abedin Bacja was extradited from Germany, sentenced to 5 years in prison by the Court of Durrës, for the criminal offense of "Illegal Deprivation of Liberty".
In 2013, Abedin Bacja and 2 other citizens forcibly took a citizen in a vehicle. Then they called his father, who was threatened with his life, if he did not give him the amount of 7,500 euros.
While a 43-year-old man was extradited from the United Kingdom, to whom, in 2021, the Court of Mati has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Domestic violence" and "Destruction of property".
In 2021, he hit his brother-in-law on the head and body with an iron crowbar and damaged his vehicle.
"The next cooperation with partners in Germany and the United Kingdom, realizes the extradition of 2 citizens convicted/accused of kidnapping, violence and destruction of property.
This cooperation, which has been concretized between the Interpol offices in Tirana, Wiesbaden and Manchester, has enabled the extradition to Albania:
-from Germany, citizen Abedin Bacja, 34 years old, born in Fier. He was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment by the Court of Durrës, for the criminal offense "Illegal Deprivation of Liberty".
In 2013, citizen Abedin Bacja and 2 other citizens forcibly took citizen A. Xh. in a vehicle. Then they called his father, who threatened the life of citizen A. Xh., if he was not given the amount of 7,500 euros;
- from the United Kingdom, citizen RM, 43 years old, born in Mat. The court of Mati, in 2021, assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Domestic violence" and "Destruction of property".
In 2021, the RM citizen hit his brother-in-law in the head and body with a hard object (iron crowbar) and damaged his vehicle.
The State Police will intensively continue the joint work and operations, with partners all over the world, to locate, capture and finalize the extradition of the citizens announced as internationally wanted," the police announced.
