A violent brawl occurred this morning between two groups of young people in the city of Korça.
The crash occurred in neighborhood no. 2 of the city, where a 16-year-old with the initials EB was injured, who was immediately transported to the Korça hospital.
Police sources confirmed that the minor sustained injuries that were suspected to have been caused by a cutting instrument, a knife.
Doctors intervened immediately and declared that his condition was out of danger. He continues to receive therapy at the hospital, while his preliminary testimony regarding the conflict is being taken.
According to preliminary data, after the impact, the 16-year-old fell over the railings near the scene, receiving additional injuries and lacerations to his body.
Punches, kicks and hard objects were used during the fight, while investigators are also verifying the use of a cold weapon. The suspected perpetrators have fled the scene and are being sought by the Korça police.
Investigations are ongoing and the motives for the conflict have not yet been made public.
