Three citizens have been arrested in flagrante delicto by the Vlora Police, after allegedly threatening and raping a 35-year-old man with a weapon, while attempting to force him out of his vehicle.
According to the official announcement, the incident occurred in the “Hajro Çakërri” neighborhood, where police services intervened immediately after receiving information about the incident. As a result of rapid investigative actions, it was possible to identify and arrest three suspects: Xh. I., 31 years old, KH, 34 years old and MZ, 20 years old, all residents of Vlora.
Preliminary investigations show that the three young men threatened citizen LS, 35, with a sporting pistol, for reasons that the police consider weak. At the time of the incident, the victim was inside his vehicle, while the perpetrators are suspected of having attempted to force him out, hitting him with their fists and the barrel of the gun.
The injured person was transported to the hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment and is out of danger.
During a search of a vehicle owned by the father of one of the arrested, police found a hidden sporting pistol suspected of being used in the incident. The weapon was seized as evidence, as well as two vehicles: one suspected of being used by the perpetrators to flee the scene and the other where the weapon was found.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Vlora Prosecutor's Office for further action, while the arrested are charged with "Threats", "Intentional serious injury" committed in collaboration and "Unlicensed production and possession of hunting and sporting weapons".
