The Greek court has jailed the pimp Lorela Kapaj, part of a prostitution network with minors.
One of the arrested Greeks was also left in prison, while a 55-year-old man was released. The third defendant, who is accused of the criminal offense of sexual intercourse with a minor, has been released.
He has taken the measure of "obligation to appear" twice a month at the Police Directorate, as well as to pay 5,000 euros as a guarantee.
According to the Greek media, the three defendants denied the charges during their testimony, while the 31-year-old woman stated that not only did she not recruit minor girls for prostitution, but according to her testimony, the 17-year-old girl who was involved in the network, advised to leave such a life.
The two defendants stated that they did not know that the girls were minors as they looked like they were 20 years old.
According to the investigations, the 31-year-old arrested for participating in the network of minor pimps approached the girls and promised them large rewards if they would have sex with rich men who would pay a lot to rape them. Her main victim was a 15-year-old girl, whom she allegedly approached in 2022. "Lorela" had the main goal of pushing her into prostitution with the lure of money.
The second person from the group to be detained is a 34-year-old friend of Lorela. The 34-year-old Greek, from the middle of April 2023, came into contact with the aforementioned minor and a 17-year-old friend of hers at the time, proposing to facilitate the finding of rich clients "for paid sexual encounters" . He photographed them in their underwear, posting the photos on a website through which at least 10 romantic dates were booked, which took place in hotels in central Athens.
Lorela from Albania, mother of a son, and 25-year-old Elena "fished" girls in clubs, lying to them about the luxurious life they led themselves: expensive cars, designer clothes and vacations in luxury yachts and hotels. Lorela brought the minors to her apartment, in Colonos, whom she "recruited", however, both in the palace where she lived and in the neighborhood, she appeared as a beautician, to justify the frequent presence of girls in her house.
