The two lawyers of Fatmir Talellari, the 50-year-old father who killed his brother-in-law after raping his daughter, have expressed in a statement to the media that they feel happy about the court's decision, which left him temporarily under house arrest in his daughter's apartment, until at the moment the judicial council decides on the trial against him.
The well-known lawyer Alexis Kougias said that he feels good about the decision that has been made for the 50-year-old, and the Greek society is also happy. At the end of his statements, Kougias "bowed down", as he declared that he is a father himself and has children.
"Together with my esteemed colleague, one of the leading lawyers, Mr. Michalis Vasilikos, we undertook a difficult task. We must show before the Greek justice the real circumstances that preceded it, the circumstances at the moment of firing the gun, show the true personality of the author, show that this person is not a criminal who has decided to take the law into his own hands, but for showed that at the moment there is a big drama in this family, which unfortunately if the girls' mother had not lost her life and our client had not made this new marriage, nothing would have happened.
