A criminal group that was active in the drug trade in different areas of Athens has been destroyed by the Greek police.
As part of an organized operation, 3 Albanian citizens and one Greek citizen were arrested, while 5 residences were searched and another in a business. From the preliminary investigations, it turned out that it is a criminal group with continuous activity, with a hierarchical structure and distinct roles among its members, which dealt with the distribution of narcotics, mainly cocaine and cannabis, in different areas of Athens.
In terms of operating methodology, members of the organization communicated mainly through online applications (Viber), avoiding mentioning names in conversations to make it difficult to identify them, while using code names for the narcotics they trafficked. The investigation showed that 43-year-old Arjel Tafilaj from Selenica was the leader, who made every decision regarding the group, while he was informed before any action was taken by the other members.
31-year-old Ledjo Harizi from Luftinja e Memaliajt, as a key member of the group, replaced the 43-year-old where necessary, maintaining a legitimate business that the group used for meetings and decision-making. 55-year-old Viktor Leme from Fier Shegani, Lushnje, carried out drug distribution and communication with "clients", faithfully following the instructions of the leaders of the organization, while 29-year-old Greek Spyridon Antoniou was supplied by the above group and distributed quantities of cocaine and cannabis. .
During the police operation, Arjel Tafilaj was arrested while driving the "Smart" type vehicle with license plate IYP-2976, while the "Porsche Caynne" type SUV with Albanian license plate AB 766 JI, which was used for transporting drugs, was also seized. During the personal search, 150 euros and 1 mobile phone were found, while during the search of the apartment, 1770 euros were found. During the personal check of his girlfriend, the Albanian citizen R. N, 2250 euros were found, which Tafilaj declared that she had left for safekeeping.
Ledjo Harizi was caught by the police driving a vehicle with license plate KNH-6034. During the personal search, 1 mobile phone was found. During the search, 4 cell phones and 145 euros were found in his apartment, while 3750 euros, 52 dollars, 500 Swedish lira, 1600 Albanian lek, 1 "S&WCTG" type grinder pistol with 6 38 mm cartridges, 1 "COURT 9 COUPS UNIQUE" type pistol, 1 "TSS" type air pistol, 1 single comb replica pistol, 2 9 mm cartridges, 48 32 mm cartridges, 1 comb with 8 0.32 cartridges, 1 knife, 2 cell phones, 2 cards SIM card and the "Opel Astra" vehicle with license plate BKX-5340 that was used to transport drugs.
Viktor Leme was caught by the police driving a "Fiat Panda" vehicle with license plate ZNE-6901 and during the personal search, 350 euros and 1 mobile phone were found. During the search of the apartment, about 71 grams of cocaine, about 33 grams of cannabis, 1 electronic scale and 150 euros were found.
The Greek police also searched the residence of citizen Ervin Lavane, where they did not find anything illegal. But the "Audi A8" type vehicle with Albanian license plate AB 227 MZ owned by Ledjo Harizi was found parked outside his apartment, which was seized as a product benefited from illegal activity.
During the search of the apartment of the Greek citizen, 237 grams of cannabis and other items were found and seized.
From the investigations of the Greek police, it is suspected that the 3 Albanian citizens have cooperated in over 300 cases of sale of narcotics.
During the determination of the security measure, the 3 Albanian citizens were left in "Prison arrest" by being transferred to the prison of Koridhalos, while the Greek citizen was left in the "obligation to appear" and "property guarantee" measure.
