A serious incident took place in Shkodër, where a 52-year-old man lost his life after his apartment was gutted by flames.
According to the police, the head of the family Jakup Çotaj lost his life, while his wife was able to leave the apartment without being damaged by the fire. The event was recorded around 02:10 in the Zogaj neighborhood.
It is suspected that the fire started accidentally.
"Shkodër/Preliminary information. Around 02:10, in the Zogaj neighborhood, it is suspected that a fire accidentally broke out in the apartment of the citizen J. Ç., 52 years old, which was completely burned.
As a result of the fire, the citizen J. Ç lost his life, while his wife was able to leave the apartment without being damaged by the fire.
The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor is working to determine the cause of the fire," the police announced.
