Clandestine trafficking, Karamuço: Establish an intelligent network to

An operation against the clandestine traffic was finalized after almost a year of investigations, revealed that 26 people were involved, including four police officers.

From this investigation, it was discovered that five commercial entities gave fictitious contracts to immigrants mainly from Bangladesh and provided them with visas, while in total they seized about 1 million euros.

In an interview in "Special Report" on "ABC News", criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço said that the danger of clandestine traffic still remains high.

He emphasized that these are events that require a very high intelligence network and infiltration to understand the trafficking lines or even the organizers.

" There are still corrupt structures that turn a blind eye to the trafficking of illegal immigrants. The risk is still high. The trafficking lines as we have seen are organized. These events require a smart network, infiltration to understand the trafficking lines or the organizers. We have had cases where local police officers have transported the immigrants themselves ," said Karamuço.
