As part of the coded police operation "Threat 2", 45-year-old Gentjan Gega was arrested, who had been stalking a 23-year-old woman for a long time by opening fake profiles for her on social networks.
The police announce that the 45-year-old man shared derogatory content about the young woman in his fake social network profiles. According to the blue uniforms, he had been stalking the 23-year-old online for a long time, causing distress to her and her family.
The young woman, after constantly receiving messages of the type "I love you, I can't live without you", filed a report with the police and Cybercrime immediately started investigations. According to the same sources, Gentjan Gega is married and has children.
The procedural materials for this case were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
'Stalked a citizen for a very long time, opening fake profiles on social networks, with derogatory content, and causing concern to her and her family, after a very quick and professional investigation by Cybercrime Investigation specialists in DVP Tirana, at the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, in order to prevent the created situation, the 45-year-old is put in handcuffs.
Specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Cybercrimes in DVP Tirana, after the report made by a 23-year-old woman, that a citizen had opened false profiles on social networks, with derogatory content, and harassed her online for a long time, brought worries to her and her family members, they immediately organized the work to identify and catch the author.
As a result, after a very fast, dynamic and genuine investigation, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, within the coded police operation "Threat 2", citizen GG, 45 years old, resident in Tirana, was arrested.
From the verifications carried out by the specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Cybercrimes, it has been found that this citizen, by opening false profiles with derogatory content to the 23-year-old on social networks, has been stalking her online for a long time, brought concern to her and her family.
The procedural materials for this case were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office for further action, the police announced.
