In addition to the investigations into corruption, "Inequality in tenders" and "Abuse of duty", the SPAK Special Prosecutor's Office has launched a parallel investigation, with the aim of tracing the assets of the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj.
Such an orientation to extend the investigation to Beqaj's property was given to SPAK in August 2023 by the special judge, Erion Bani.
Meanwhile, the former minister is expected to appear at noon tomorrow at SPAK to be questioned and officially familiarized with the two security measures that SPAK has imposed on him.
The property investigation against Beqaj has started to understand his interventions in the competition and favored the company "Sani Service", which won the tender worth 100 million euros and owner Ilir Rrapaj.
Until this stage of the investigation, a part of Ilir Beqaj's wealth has been revealed through open sources of information. While SPAK needs time to shed light on possible assets hidden in other names.
Through official SPAK documents, it has proven that Beqaj and his family members enjoy some assets in Tirana and not only, as there are strong indications through witnesses that Beqaj also has an apartment in the "Lungomare" area in Vlora.
According to the secured documents, the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj and his wife, Adriana Beqaj, on December 19, 2016, became owners of an apartment with an area of 198.92 square meters in Tirana.
The property is located in the capital on the street "4 February" and was purchased for an amount of 142 thousand euros.
Also on the same date, December 19, 2016, Ilir Beqja and his wife, in the same building where they bought the apartment, turned out to have also bought a garage with an area of 20 square meters.
Similarly, in the name of Ilir Beqaj, an apartment located on "Pjeter Bogdani" street with an area of 96 square meters is registered.
But on September 13, 2010, this apartment was registered in the property register in favor of "Alpha Bank". Beqaj's wealth and benefits are characterized by his office in the public administration and the business of the company "INTECH+", which has benefited a good part of the cake in public tenders.
Although with considerable profit, Ilir Beqaj, declares that in August 2013 he sold 51 percent of INTECH+ company to his friend, Sokol Sinani, with the financial value of 183 million old ALL.
Financial income and wealth, Beqaj disposes of other businesses such as a commercial consultancy activity on behalf of his wife, Adriana Beqaj, and other firms such as "Albania Ionian Coast Olive Oil", "Proinvest Al" managed by his wife, Adriana Beqaj.
The company "Albania Ionian Coast Olive Oil" was opened in Saranda in 2019 between Renata Sinani and Adriana Beqaj, which aims to plant and cultivate olive trees and produce olive oil for export./ Ora News
