A 34-year-old man was injured by gunfire yesterday evening in Tirana, after a conflict suspected of being motivated by weak motives.
According to the police, it is reported that at around 23:55, citizen Juxhin Hamajezi , who had received a wound to his leg, presented himself to the hospital for medical assistance. It is reported that the 34-year-old is out of danger.
It is reported that the incident took place on "Aleksandër Moisiu" street, where it is suspected that a firearm was used after a brief conflict.
The Tirana Police and Prosecutor's Office are continuing investigations to fully uncover the causes and circumstances of the incident, while working to identify and capture the perpetrator or perpetrators involved.
So far, no further details have been made public about the causes that led to the conflict.
"On 26.05.2026, at around 23:55, citizen JH, around 34 years old, presented himself to the hospital for medical assistance, wounded in the leg, suspected to have been shot, and his life is out of danger.
From the first investigative actions, it is suspected that the injury occurred on "Aleksandër Moisiu" street during a momentary conflict for weak motives.
"The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is continuing its work to clarify the circumstances, identify and apprehend the perpetrator(s)," the police announced.
