A 29-year-old man has been arrested by police in the capital after he is accused of committing 12 robberies within 48 hours. According to police, he broke car windows and stole various items.
"The services of Police Commissariat No. 6, following complaints from several drivers about the theft of personal belongings from their vehicles, after breaking the windows, based on intelligence, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "The End".
As part of the operation, citizen EN, 29 years old, resident of Tepelena, was captured and arrested.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that this citizen, yesterday evening, stole personal belongings from 6 vehicles, breaking their windows, in a parking lot, in Astir. Also, during the last 48 hours, in different neighborhoods of Tirana, he stole various belongings from 6 vehicles, after breaking their windows, with hard objects.
Investigations are ongoing to uncover other thefts that this citizen may have committed.
"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action ," the police announced.
