The Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office has seized the assets of a citizen, as they are suspected of deriving from criminal activity.
According to the prosecution, the citizen with the initials DA is suspected of being a member of a structured criminal group. The prosecution has seized assets such as land, a warehouse, a business, a football field, as well as his "Mercedes Benz" vehicle.
"Suspected of criminal activity, businesses, land, warehouses, etc. of citizen DA are being seized."
At the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, Gjirokastra, the assets of citizen DA, suspected of participating in and committing crimes by a criminal group in the production and sale of narcotics, were seized.
Based on Law No. 10192, dated 03.12.2009 "On the prevention and suppression of organized crime, trafficking and corruption through preventive measures against property" and within the framework of the investigation of property proceeding No. 2, year 2019, from the preliminary investigations of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Gjirokastër, it resulted that this citizen does not justify the movable and immovable assets with income and financial resources. While it results that there are suspicions based on indications of participation and commission of crimes by a structured criminal group, as well as of the commission of crimes provided for in Articles 283, 283/a and 284/a of the Criminal Code.
During the property proceedings, immovable properties were identified, the purchase of which is not justified by the income of this citizen and his family members, which are suspected of deriving from the criminal activity of the aforementioned citizen, and specifically:
– Property of the type “Truall” with a surface area of 350m2, in the city of Gjirokastër;
– Property of the type “Plot” with a surface area of 1500m2 and a construction area of 23 m2 in Lazarat, Gjirokastër;
– Property of the type “Truall” with a surface area of 450 m2, in Grehot, Gjirokastër;
– Property of the type “Truall” with a surface area of 1646 m2 in Grehot, Gjirokastër;
–Property of the “Are” type with an area of 7000 m2 in the village of Arshi Lengo, Gjirokastër;
– Commercial building with an area of 6500 m2, built in 2005, Kordhocë village, Lazarat;
– Shop and warehouse, built in 2013, Kordhocë village;
– Mini football field with an area of over 500 m2 and a one-story building with an area of 37.2 m2, built in Lazarat; and
– “Mercedes Benz” car, the prosecution reports.
