Two people have been placed under investigation, accused of trafficking stolen luxury cars.
The 36-year-old with the initials MS is suspected of having trafficked into Albania a "Benz" vehicle worth around 80,000 euros, which, upon verification, turned out to have been stolen in Switzerland.
A 29-year-old man has also been placed under investigation, suspected of having trafficked into Albania an "Opel" vehicle, worth around 10,000 euros, which, upon verification, turned out to have been stolen in Italy.
"The Trafficking Investigation Section finalized in 24 hours, other phases of operations "Stolen Line" and "Relay", against vehicle trafficking and the illegal transportation of immigrants.
As a result of the work to crack down on trafficking cases and illegal border crossing, specialists from the Trafficking Investigation Section finalized 2 more phases of operations:
"Stolen Line", within which criminal proceedings were initiated against the following citizens:
•MS, 36 years old, suspected of having trafficked into Albania, 1 "Benz" vehicle, worth approximately 80,000 euros, which upon verification resulted to have been stolen in Switzerland;
•EM, 29 years old, who is suspected of having trafficked in Albania, 1 "Opel" type vehicle, worth around 10,000 euros, which upon verification resulted to have been stolen in Italy ," the police announced.
