A tragic event occurred in Milan, Italy, where a 24-year-old Albanian from Kosovo lost his life in a work accident.
The victim is Endrit Ademi. According to Italian media, the young man fell from a scaffold on the morning of May 6. He worked for a construction company in Brescia.
Ademi had been living in Italy for 6 years, while his parents and one of his brothers live in Kosovo. Another brother lives in Austria.
"He was a good guy, a friend of mine," said a fellow countryman of Endrit, after the tragedy that happened before his eyes.
According to initial reports, at around 9:30 a.m. today, the young Kosovar fell from a scaffolding. The 24-year-old was performing routine maintenance work on the third floor of an apartment building.
For reasons that are still unclear, he slipped and fell from a height of approximately 12 meters, causing his death on the spot. The Milan Public Prosecutor's Office has launched investigations to clarify the incident, while the body will undergo an autopsy and all necessary checks to verify the worker's safety conditions.
