The murder of Vanesa Ballan, the 27-year-old pregnant woman who was executed with a knife by 41-year-old Bujar Fandaj has shocked public opinion and her friends in Treviso, Italy.
The author is a 41-year-old Albanian originally from Kosovo, who is suspected of having a brief love affair with the 27-year-old.
Ballan's friends have expressed the great shock they experienced when they heard the news. Sephora Longo's colleague and celebrity Ines Pagnon spoke about their friend who was three months pregnant.
They knew her and also her husband Nicola Scapinello.
"I can't understand what happened, when I heard the news at the time I thought about a thief or some kind of robbery", explains Ines Pagnon.
She said that she was not aware of the extramarital relationship that the 27-year-old had with the Albanian from Kosovo.
It is suspected that after Vanesa ended the relationship, the 41-year-old began stalking her and threatening to publish her intimate videos on the Internet.
About the Albanian's threats, the young woman informed the Italian authorities, as well as her family members.
Fandaj was arrested yesterday evening near his apartment in Altivole, a few hours after committing the serious crime.
