Businessman Gencian Subashi has been sentenced to 6 years in prison after being caught transporting cocaine.
He was arrested almost a year ago by the Carabinieri during an anti-drug operation.
Together with his relative, Subashi transported 17 and a half kilograms of cocaine in a van. The seized drug would be divided into 79,000 doses.
The arrest was made during a targeted control service by a Carabinieri patrol from the Borgo Grappa station.
The two people, who had been in Latina for several years, were stopped and a large quantity of drugs was found. The cousin, who had followed another trial, has already agreed to a four-year sentence.
