The court of Tirana has left 52-year-old Jakup Shahu, who stabbed his wife, in prison.
Jakup Shahu was arrested a few days ago for the knife massacre of his wife Edlira Shahu, 46 years old. The prosecutor of the case told the judge Albert Meca that the suspect, after stabbing the woman three times, told his daughter "here is your mother".
The prosecutor stated during the session with closed doors that the woman continues to be in a serious condition in the hospital, due to three wounds, one of them in the neck.
On the other hand, author Jakup Shahu told his version, remembering that he shot the woman with a knife in a fit of rage.
"I didn't want to shoot my soul, I don't know how I did it, but I got angry. I shot him during the argument," said the suspect, who burst into tears in the courtroom.
Also, at the request of the prosecution, the court left him under arrest in prison on the charge of murder due to the remaining family relations in the attempt of Edlira Shah. Earlier, the author was in prison for another murder.
The 52-year-old stabbed his wife shortly after midnight around 02:15, on "Xhanfize Keko" street.
