Two people have been arrested by the police of Gjirokastra, after they were caught transporting illegal immigrants for profit.
NN, 36 years old, resident of Krujë and EC, 30 years old, resident of Lezhë, were put in handcuffs.
The 36-year-old was arrested red-handed on the road axis Këlcyre-Përmet, at the exit of the city of Këlcyre, transporting with a "Volkswagen" type vehicle, against profit, 4 immigrants from the countries of the Middle East and Africa to Veiurt, from Hani i Hotit , Shkodër, in the direction of the border crossing point "Tre Urat", Permet.
He had the intention of illegally crossing the border with the clandestines, and he did not obey the order of the police officer for control, but abandoned the vehicle and left.
EC is suspected to have been driving around with the "Toyota" type vehicle, to control the road and to signal the citizen NN, for the presence of Police services.
As material evidence, 2 vehicles and 2 mobile phones were seized.
