
Over 9 thousand administrative measures were imposed during the week by the traffic police in Tirana.
Most of the measures imposed are for speeding, accompanied by measures for using mobile phones and not wearing a seat belt.
Last week, five people were arrested in the capital, after they were caught driving drunk or violated traffic rules, while four others were put under investigation after they were caught driving without a driving license.
9,389 fines have been imposed, specifically:
-59 measures for black windows;
-605 measures for speeding;
-188 measures for wrong passing;
-226 measures for mobile phone use while driving;
-322 measures for not wearing a seat belt;
-140 measures for not wearing a protective helmet;
-411 measures for not giving priority to pedestrians;
-14 measures for disobeying the "Stop" sign;
-34 measures against pedestrians;
-6 268 measures for wrong posture;
-1 515 different measures.
Suspensions and blockages:
-1 case of driving under the influence of alcohol;
- 6 cases for speeding over the allowed rates;
-2 cases for other violations;
- 8 vehicles were blocked (for unpaid obligations and lack of documentation).
Meanwhile, 5 people arrested and 4 under investigation:
- 4 people arrested for drunk driving (Article 291).
- 4 people prosecuted for driving without a license (Article 291).
-1 person arrested for violation of traffic rules (Article 290).
