Three Albanians were imprisoned today in England after being caught in a "barn house".

According to foreign media, the Albanians identified as Mariglen Markaj, 22 years old, Altin Marku, 23 years old, and Refik Shehi, 31 years old, will be deported to Albania after serving their sentence.

Each of the defendants had admitted conspiring to supply cocaine and possessing criminal property relating to the two weeks between July 16 and July 31 this year. With the help of an Albanian translator, the court heard that Mark was riding an electric bike through Ipswich when he was seen by police tossing a pack of cigarettes, which contained bags of cocaine.

A search of his home address turned up 340 pounds and more of cocaine. On July 30, the police stopped an "Audi" car driven by Shehi, where Marku was a passenger. Mark was found with £580 and a mobile phone, with a bag of cocaine in his sock. Shehi had a wallet with a "substantial amount" of cash and an iPhone.

The defendants gave an address on Chevallier Street and police began a search. While they were there, Markaj arrived. He was also arrested. Police discovered 44 bags of cocaine, over £8,000 in cash, a set of scales and more sealed bags. They also found identity documents relating to the three defendants and their fingerprints on items at the address.

In total, the Crown Prosecution Service sought the confiscation of £9,690, which Judge David Wilson granted. Judge Wilson sentenced Sheh to 30 months in prison. Marku and Markaj were sentenced to 27 months, slightly less because they were younger.
