A 25-year-old Albanian was arrested by the Belgian police after being caught with 13 kg of cocaine. He was arrested by Inspectors of the Rivierenland police area in Belgium.
The suspect attracted the attention of a patrol team on the Tangent (B101) in Mechelen because he made sudden movements with his vehicle which were confusing to other road users.
His destination turned out to be a shop on the Nekkerspoelstraat, where he bought eight backpacks. The young Albanian then continued on his way, still followed by the police.
As far as Ixelles, where the driver parked his vehicle. A few minutes later he was joined by a man who left a sports bag in the car. The driver then drove off immediately.
During the police check, a number of packages of cocaine with a total weight of more than 13 kilograms were found in the sports bag. The 25-year-old Albanian has been placed at the disposal of the public prosecution, while the drugs and the vehicle have been seized. The investigating judge in Brussels arrested him and imprisoned him.
