The Police Supervision Agency has launched investigations into a police officer at Police Station No. 5, after he is accused of the criminal offenses of "Threat" and "Abuse of Office".
The night before, the officer had a physical altercation with several people in a bar in Tirana. As the situation escalated, the police officer threatened the people involved with his service weapon.
"The Police Supervision Agency (Tirana Region) has referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Tirana the procedural materials in charge of police officer EH, with the duty of General Patrol at Police Station No. 5, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Threat" and "Abuse of office".
Initial investigative actions revealed that the police officer, yesterday evening, had a physical conflict for weak motives with several people in a bar in Tirana, where the situation then escalated and the police officer threatened the people involved with his service weapon.
"AMP has initiated an administrative disciplinary investigation against the police officer, continuing investigations to fully clarify the incident," the police announced.
