An Albanian man was shot with 4 bullets, which caused his death, although he was urgently transported to the hospital. The serious incident occurred in the Itterbeek neighborhood of Anderlecht in Belgium, on Sunday evening, while the victim was identified as Albanian.
According to local media reports, 61-year-old NM, who is the owner of the "Maison Haute" bar, was shot to death by the tenant. According to eyewitnesses, the perpetrator shot at least 4 times at the 61-year-old, inside the premises of the bar.
It all happened within a few moments, where after an argument, the tenant of an apartment above the La Maison Haute cafe reportedly shot the owner, from whom he had rented the apartment, several times.
The suspected perpetrator has been arrested by police.
The incident has caused great shock in the community. Michèle, a resident of the neighborhood and a close friend of the Albanian, says with tears in her eyes that "on Sunday afternoon we had a drink together. He was a wonderful man, always ready to help. I had warned him one day that this tenant would bring trouble... and here we are today."
The woman adds that the Albanian had just returned from vacation and there was no previous conflict in the neighborhood. Local police have isolated the area for investigation and have ruled out the connection of the incident to drug trafficking for the time being. Everything is suspected to have started after a personal conflict between the Albanian and his tenant.
