An Albanian man was found executed with a bullet in the head in the "Agio Pandeleimona" area of Athens. Police found a bullet next to him, while initial suspicions are that he may have been killed after a personal dispute with the perpetrator, or due to the breakdown of drug deals.
The victim has been identified as Artur Bashimi, 47, a name known to the Greek police and justice system.
In 2022, his name was on the list of a gang arrested by anti-drugs in Greece, while the organization consisted of 19 members.
The group of Albanians was accused at the time of robbery and theft, drug-related issues, but also extortion through pressure.
An indictment was filed at that time against the arrested for criminal organization, specific cases of committed and attempted theft, as well as for collaboration and commission, as well as for violation of the law on the prevention and suppression of money laundering.

From the interceptions of the Greek authorities, regarding the activity of the criminal group, the results are the messages that the victim executed today, Bashimi, communicates with other members of the gang, from which it turns out that one of them, known as "Lame", committed suicide after being owed 10,000 euros and was placed under pressure from the leaders of the group.
