An Albanian man was found executed with a bullet in the head in the "Agio Pandeleimona" area of Athens. Police found a bullet next to him, while initial suspicions are that he may have been killed after a personal dispute with the perpetrator, or due to the breakdown of drug deals.
The victim has been identified as Artur Bashimi, 47, a name known to the Greek police and justice system.
In 2022, his name was on the list of a gang arrested by anti-drugs in Greece, while the organization consisted of 19 members.
The group of Albanians was accused at the time of robbery and theft, drug-related issues, but also extortion through pressure.
An indictment was filed at that time against the arrested for criminal organization, specific cases of committed and attempted theft, as well as for collaboration and commission, as well as for violation of the law on the prevention and suppression of money laundering.
Bashimi, 44 years old at the time, was known in the criminal group as 'Turi', who was considered a soldier of 'Klod of the Pocket'.
The gang also had connections with two other groups that stole everything they could, mainly on public transportation lines.
Their victims were mainly elderly people, young women and tourists. The members of the group would set off by car, motorbike or on foot and go to the stations, choosing the hours between 06.00-12.30 and 17.00-21.00.
From the interceptions of the Greek authorities, regarding the activity of the criminal group, the results are the messages that the victim executed today, Bashimi, communicates with other members of the gang, from which it turns out that one of them, known as "Lame", committed suicide after being owed 10,000 euros and was placed under pressure from the leaders of the group.
Below is one of the intercepted conversations.

Bashimi: Why didn't you keep it?
Klodjan: I took Tur but Tur told me he was eating. What did he do?
Bashimi: The point is that he owes me some money and he did 10,000 euros of work **
