A 28-year-old Albanian prisoner escaped from Kostur hospital today. He was admitted to the surgical clinic of Kostur General Hospital and escaped under unclear circumstances, even though he was being kept under surveillance by guards.
According to the police, the person in question is a person convicted of serious criminal offenses and there are suspicions that he had collaborators from abroad. He is Lulëzim Xibraku, and according to the Greek police, he is a highly dangerous person.
Police have set up checkpoints on the main axes of Kostur as the area is close to the Albanian-Greek border.
