A 65-year-old man identified as Gëzim Bizoni was brutally murdered in the yard of his apartment on Sunday evening in Saranda. The author of the serious crime is suspected to be his 42-year-old friend Admir Beqiri.
The victim, divorced, had divided his apartment into two parts and had taken 42-year-old Admir Beqiri to live there.
According to the neighbors' testimony off camera, Bizioni and Beqiri had conflicts recently, as the 65-year-old was asking his friend to leave the apartment. Meanwhile, yesterday, Beqiri, in an alcoholic state, refused to lower the volume of the music, while Gezim Bizoni was mourning the death of his child.
During a conflict with harsh tones, Admir Beqiri hit the victim in the face with a glass bottle, leaving him dead on the spot, and continued to abuse him even after the 65-year-old had lost his life.
At the time of the crime, the 42-year-old's girlfriend was also there, who left in a hurry, while a few minutes later she was escorted to the Saranda Police Station. The dead body of Gëzim Bizoni is located for expertise at the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
