
A 46-year-old man has been arrested by the police for several thefts that occurred in the city of Himara, while a 27-year-old woman has been arrested for failing to report a crime. During a search of the premises where they were staying, hand grenades, mobile phones and suspected tools used during the thefts were seized.
Investigations have revealed that the arrested person is also involved in two previous incidents, where money and electronic equipment were stolen from apartments and holiday complexes.
"A 46-year-old man has been arrested by the police after being the perpetrator of several thefts in Himara. A 27-year-old woman who did not report the crime has also been arrested.
During the search conducted in the premises where this citizen was staying, the Police services found and seized: 10 combat hand grenades, 6 mobile phones and clothing and gloves suspected of being used during the thefts.
The investigative actions resulted in the fact that citizen SG is the author of two other thefts, which occurred on 07.05.2025 and 11.05.2025, respectively in the same holiday apartment complex and in an apartment in the "Livadh" neighborhood, where mobile phones and amounts of money of 98,000 lek and 90,000 lek were stolen.
Following the actions, citizen D. Rr., 27 years old, resident of Vlora, who was staying in the same premises as the perpetrator of the thefts, was also arrested for the criminal offense of "Failure to report a crime", and it is suspected that she was aware of the criminal activity and did not report it.
Investigative work continues to document other cases, where this citizen is suspected of being the perpetrator.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further investigative actions," the police announced.
