A large-scale operation was carried out in the morning hours in the 3rd Wing of Koridhalo Prison, following the murder of Jani Aliaj.
Specifically, the operation was organized by the Foreign Guard, with the assistance of the OAEE Special Team and in cooperation with prison officers. As part of it, more than 50 cells were searched, in a targeted and coordinated manner.
During the investigations, a large number of mobile phones were found and seized, as well as several sharp objects, including knives, sticks and other improvised tools.
Jani Aliaj has been sentenced to life in prison for several murders, the most famous of which is that of Elton Çiço. According to Greek media, both the perpetrator and the victim had numerous clashes between them. Aliaj was stabbed twice in the neck with an improvised knife, leaving him dead.
