A cannabis house was discovered yesterday in Saranda. Meanwhile, today, police announced that two apartments adapted for cannabis cultivation were discovered in neighborhood no. 2 of the coastal city.
The administrator of the EB building, 45 years old, has been arrested and his wife has been criminally prosecuted.
Also, citizens E. Sh., 48 years old, SH, 26 years old, TM, 28 years old and AM, 25 years old, suspected of being involved in this criminal activity, were declared wanted.
"The police operation codenamed "Administrator" is finalized, identifying and cracking down on another case of cultivation of narcotic plants in closed environments, in the city of Saranda.
157 narcotic plants, 18 kg of cannabis, electrical equipment used for the cultivation, drying and processing of narcotic plants for the purpose of sale were seized.
The administrator of the building where the premises were set up for this criminal activity is being arrested.
Four citizens are being sought, suspected of being involved in this criminal activity.
Continuing the work to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, based on information provided by intelligence and field verifications, the structures of the Saranda Police Commissariat finalized the police operation codenamed "Administrator".
As a result of this operation, on the ninth floor of a 9-story building, in neighborhood no. 2, Saranda, in two apartments, premises adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants through electric lamps, as well as for their drying and processing, with the aim of sale, were found. The verifications resulted in the equipment being supplied with illegal electricity connections.
Following the actions, citizen EB, 45 years old, resident of Saranda, administrator of the building, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of “Production and sale of narcotics”, “Cultivation of narcotic plants” and “Theft of electricity or telephone impulses”.
Also, citizens E. Sh., 48 years old, SH, 26 years old, TM, 28 years old and AM, 25 years old, suspected of being involved in this criminal activity, were declared wanted. Following the actions in this case, criminal proceedings were also initiated against citizen MB, 45 years old, (wife of citizen EB, who was arrested).
During the search of the adapted premises, 157 suspected narcotic plants of the Cannabis Sativa variety, cultivated in pots, 18 kg of the narcotic substance cannabis, in a dry state, 90 electric lamps with reflectors, 100 electric fuses, 5 air conditioners, 15 fans, 4 air filters, aspiration tubes, 3 mobile phones and other equipment used for criminal activity were seized as material evidence.
Work continues to capture the wanted citizens and to fully document this criminal activity.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. "- the police announced.
