Kevin Muharremi's brother reacted publicly after the 25-year-old's murder in Italy and warned of fraudulent initiatives that, according to him, are circulating in the family's name.
Elvis Muharremi clarified in a post on the business page he manages with his brother that the family has not opened any accounts on the GoFundMe platform or other fundraising sites. He asked that no one send money on their behalf and emphasized that any such initiative is not related to the family.
According to him, the family members are seeking to cope with the loss of their brother and son in privacy.
"I am Elvis Muharremi, the brother of Kevin Muharremi who was killed on February 14, 2026. We have not opened any kind of account or GofundMe for you to help us. Please do not throw money anywhere. Leave us alone in our pain ," he writes.
Kevin Muharremi was killed in the early hours of February 15. The suspect in the crime has been identified as 20-year-old Albanian Renato Xyke. Preliminary investigations indicate that the young man was shot in the neck by an SUV that approached the car he was in.
The incident is suspected to have occurred after a previous conflict in a bar in the Capanne area, in Montopoli Valdarno. Italian authorities are continuing their investigations to fully clarify the circumstances.
