Was the Greek threatened to take responsibility for the murder?/ Details from

This Albanian murderer was identified as Xhuliano Halili...

During the show "Në Shënjestër", a documentary was broadcast about the murder of Jani Aliaj in the Koridhalos prison in Greece, where according to preliminary data, the perpetrator was suspected to be a Greek prisoner, 28-year-old Greek, Kristos Vardhuniotis.

According to the material available to the show "Në Shënjestër", after in-depth investigations, it turned out that the real killer could have been an Albanian, paid from outside prison. And that the Greek who was initially suspected as such could have been threatened, in order to take responsibility for this murder.

This Albanian murderer was identified as Xhuliano Halili.

The 44-year-old from Tepelena, known for his cruel and unscrupulous way of committing murders. Halili, who according to investigations, had a cell next to that of Jani Aliaj, in sector no. 3 of the Koridhalo prison.

And it was revealed that he had surprisingly been injured in this incident. Suspicions which were further reinforced by the fact that the 28-year-old Greek, Kristos Vardhuniotis, had presented himself of his own free will to the prison authorities, telling them that he was the one who had killed Jani Aliaj.

While there was no sign of a fight on his body. Unlike the other Albanian, Xhuliano Halili, who had blood marks on his body. The Albanian from Tepelena who carried monstrous crimes on his shoulders.

After previously killing another Albanian, Alfons Ndoci, in the same prison in Koridhalo. Meanwhile, rumors began to circulate inside the prison that the real killer of Jani Aliaj was his compatriot, Xhuliano Halili.

And not the 28-year-old Greek, who was reportedly paid or threatened to take responsibility for Aliaj's murder. Something that even reached the Greek police.

Investigation File

'Jani Aliaj was suspected for years of being used in the war of the so-called. 'Greek Mafia'. This is because there were suspicions that he was the executioner of one of the leaders of the Greek criminal groups that control the nightlife in the neighboring country. However, these suspicions were never confirmed.'

But was this really the reason why Jani Aliaj was executed in such a way? Precisely the war within the 'Greek mafia'.

A war that has claimed many Albanian lives in recent years. But it has also brought many Albanians recruited for pay. One of them is the Albanian from Tepelena, Xhuliano Halili, also known as 'Niko'.

Today, he is sentenced to life imprisonment as a contract killer. But his criminal CV contains records of some of the most heinous crimes a merciless murderer can commit. Such as the one in November 2011 in Kalamata, Greece.

Where, after shooting 35-year-old Albanian Fillim Mesaja, from the village of Caj in Kukës, in the head with a pair of rifles, he also killed his son, only 2 and a half years old, by stabbing him in the throat.

The incident that occurred near the Pamiso River in Messinia. The cause was a settling of scores between Vasilis Varelas and Fillim Mesajja.

A monstrous crime for which he was arrested. But in 2018, while being transported to prison, he managed to escape from the Port of Piraeus.

Where the other Albanian, Alfons Ndoci, escaped with him. But both were quickly caught.

The same ones who were later seen to ruin their friendship. Xhuliano Halili who, under unclear circumstances in June 2024, killed 35-year-old Alfons Ndoci and injured 48-year-old Altin Vokrri inside the Koridhalo prison.

A murder which in this case too is suspected to have been paid for from outside the prison. Xhuliano Halili did not only target Albanians for payment.

But also the Greeks. After all, in 2008 and 2009, he was also the author of two murders of Greek citizens. Revenge which fell just as cruelly on his cousins.

As was the murder in 2022 of his cousin Sulo Halili, originally from Tepelena.

Who was executed and burned in November of this year, in Skourta, Viotia. And where the Greek police suspect that his execution is related to the activities of his cousin Juliand Halili, or Xhulian Halili.

Halili, who is said to have long been under the orders of the notorious Greek mafia boss Vasilis Varelas. At least on two proven occasions.

Varelas, who in his youth had been a dubber in the films of the famous Hollywood actor, Chuck Norris, in the '80s. But who later left his career as a dubber actor and began creating his first films, getting involved in some serious crimes in Greece, as well as in drug trafficking.

Vasilis Varelas initially pushed Giuliano Halili to kill his wife's ex-husband.

Whom Halili shot twice in the head and once in the chest, in Nea Filadelfia, on March 6, 2009. But after several surgeries, the victim of this attack managed to escape death.

On August 5, 2009, another assassination attempt was organized against the victim in Igoumenitsa, but the perpetrator, who aimed at his head, had his weapon blocked.

In fact, these would not be the only crimes of the Albanian Xhuliano Halili. After earlier in 2008, more precisely on November 11 of this year, in Mikromani, Kalamata, he shot with four bullets, one of them in the head, the 29-year-old, Sotir Psikopaidha. Who was an employee at the disco where the attack occurred./ “Në Shënjestër”
