Four days ago, an unusual news took the main pages of the media in Albania about a black chronicle event, similar to some of the Netflix docu-series in terms of the script.
The blue uniforms discover the corpse of a person under the soil of a hut of a house in the village of Shënavllash in Durrës, which turned out to be the 50-year-old Pëllumb Meta.
10 days ago, family members, more specifically the eldest son of the Meta family, had reported his father's disappearance to the police.
With the deepening of the investigations, the blues began to remove from the investigation tracks, the sudden disappearance, and the first doubts fell on the family members after finding Pëllumbi's vehicle, on the road axis Shënavlash-Sektori Rinia.
Ever since the State Police discovered the 50-year-old's abandoned car, it seemed like it was the prelude to something more serious.
As official information, the news was first given that the macabre crime was committed by the daughter of Pëllumb Meta, Hygerta Meta.
The student of the Faculty of History and Philology in Tirana, in her testimony before the blue uniforms, stated that she killed her father, because he wanted to betroth her against her wishes. She says that she wanted to continue her studies and follow her dreams, but her father did not allow her.
" I wanted to follow my dreams, continue school. The happiest day of my life was when I won the school. He wanted to get me engaged to someone who was not on my level. With a boy from the village, immigrant to Italy. But I didn't want to and I killed her," the young woman reportedly told the police.
On the same day, the investigation took a different turn, as the eldest son took responsibility for the murder.
" We made the plan to kill my father together with my sister because he had become impatient in the family. Everything in the family had to be decided by him and done as he said. It was impossible to contradict him. The last one was the decision to betroth the sister to a person we had no idea who was against her wishes. Under these conditions, we decided to kill him and eliminate his traces. We decided to kill him with his pistol. So in the morning we made the plan to kill him.
In the afternoon, the father was lying on the couch and resting. My sister was also in the room with me. I told my father to get up. He was taken to his feet and then I shot him 4 times with a pistol. Then we dealt with the disappearance of the traces. We stripped it and wrapped it with plasmas. We transported him to the hut and buried him there.
Later we left the car. We went with two cars to the Youth sector. Me with my father's car, and my brother with another car that we took from a friend of ours, to whom we told him that we needed his car for an hour. We left my father's car there and returned with my friend's car driven by my brother. Then, on the 13th, I went to the police and reported my father leaving the house ," said 25-year-old Hysen Meta.
Although it seemed as if the matter had already been resolved, the blame still shifted from Hygerta's side and to the fable of the reluctant engagement. The blaming of each other and the conflicting testimonies of each caused the police to roll up their sleeves again to find out what really happened.
The Chief of Serious Crimes in Durrës, Elton Shahini, invited to Top Story on Top Channel, stated that Pëllumb Meta's three children and wife have been interrogated several times after reporting him missing.
He said that the family informed them that the victim was addicted to alcohol and had left the apartment several times, and even claimed that he suffered from mental problems.
During the interrogation for the umpteenth time, Shahini stated that it was Hysen Meta who was the first to claim that his father was killed by his sister Hygerta Meta.
The Major Crimes Chief further added that they had created the whole plot, with each having their own role in this crime.
"The children's concern was not the loss of their father but the car. They went to the police to look for the car that they said was left standing. When will you return the car," said journalist Dorjana Bezat.
Blerina Meta, Pëllumb Meta's wife, gave her version of the murder. She says that she has been abused for 26 years together with her children.
"He was an aggressive, very violent man. He never managed to calm down. He just terrorized the whole family. Even the windows on the second floor were sometimes not opened, the days when the police came they saw the windows with glue. I couldn't go out on the balcony to hang my clothes, I sat on my back.
Violence was present. I had found my way of not contradicting him. He talked about everything and decided on his own. If you would object to putting your hands on the throat like me like the children," she said.
The latest evidence shows that the murder is not something new that happened in the family of Pëllumb and Blerina Metes.
Sanije Tuga, the mother of Blerina Meta, Pëllumbi's wife, has confessed how a few years ago she killed her mother-in-law, an event which, according to her, happened completely by accident. According to her, the mother-in-law is not really dead, she even hints that she may still be alive today.
"He did not die that day. I only saw a little blood in the napa. She went to the health center, and that was it. They took her to the grave during the day, but she may still be alive today. I spent 7 years in prison. After leaving, I came to the apartment, Tuga said.
In an interview for the Top Channel journalist, Dorjana Bezat, the mother of Blerina Meta, Sanija stated that she does not believe that her grandchildren killed their father and that he was a violent man.
“Kur ka ardhur goca këtu, ka ardhur tek porta, e hapi derën burri se më i shpejtë. I thashë a keni ardhur për darkë, tha jo, jo kam ardhur vetëm. Mendova që është zënë me Pëllumbin. Më tha më dhemb i gjithë trupi e thashë e ka rrahur. U ngritëm në mëngjes, bëra pak bukë, më tha veç lere aty se dua gjumë. Gjumë nuk kishte por ishte e këputur. E pyeta po Pëllumbi, kalamajtë si janë? Më tha “mirë, mirë kalamajtë”, ndërsa Pëllumbi si Pëllumbi mo. Pastaj më thanë që Pëllumbi ka vdekur, kështu, kështu puna. Unë nuk e besoj që ka vdekur Pëllumbi. Nuk e besoj ta kenë vrarë kalamajtë, veç nëse ka bërë ndonjë ngjarje të shëmtuar a pale sesi sepse kanë e gocën tjetër atje. Nuk besoj se e kanë mbytur kalamajtë. Janë fëmijë të marrë vesh dhe të zgjuar, tha ajo.
Në gjithë këtë histori të mbuluar nga enigmat dhe kur të vërtetës me sa duket do t`i duhet kohë të dalë, ka dhe nga ata që mbrojnë Pëllumbin kundrejt familjarëve të tij. Në dëshmitë e tyre i vëllai dhe e motra e Pëllumbit thonë se fajin për këtë e ka të gjithin bashkëshortja e të ndjerit.
Ramazan Meta tha se Blerina Meta i ka mësuar fëmijët me urrejtje ndaj të atit, pasi ky i fundit është kujdesur dhe i ka shkolluar ata. Vëllai Pëllumb Metës shtoi më tej se ky i fundit ishte njeri i mbyllur dhe se e ka peng që nuk shprehej.
Ai deklaroi se është shumë e rëndë që ta vrasësh dhe më pas ta groposësh në kasollen e lopëve, teksa theksoi se shkaktarja është e ëma e tre fëmijëve.

Një natë erdhi policia nga ora tetë dhe thash ç’ne. Erdhën tre makina fillimisht dhe më pas u mbushën plot. Erdha me gjithë nusen dhe nuk na lanë të hynim. Ikëm tek shpija dhe rreth orës 11 e kanë zhvarrosur. Unë vëllain e kisha pasur këtu, unë po e kërkoja gjithandej. S’kemi lënë vend pa kërkuar”, tha ai.
Po ashtu motra e Pëllumb Matës ka hedhur akuza të forta ndaj gruas së viktimës, duke thënë se ishte ajo që ka organizuar vrasjen.
