
The Albanian from Kosovo, Bujar Fandaj, who was declared wanted as the suspected perpetrator of the murder of 27-year-old pregnant Vanessa Ballan in the province of Treviso in Italy, was arrested late in the evening.
According to the media, the victim had denounced the 41-year-old Albanian for stalking in October. It was a relative of the victim who mentioned the name of the Albanian as a possible suspect.
The young woman was stabbed seven times at the entrance to her apartment. The alarm was raised by a neighbor, who immediately notified the police. The 27-year-old's partner was at home at the time of the crime.
The couple had been together for 11 years and had one child. The woman was expecting her second child.
