Three people have been put in handcuffs, while three others are wanted, as they are accused of prostitution. The police informs that the persons had turned a rented premises in Durrës into a den of prostitution.
It is learned that 2 of the arrested are women aged 25.
"After 4 months of investigations with proactive methods, at the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, the coded operation "Rent" is finalized.
It is found in neighborhood no. 1, Durrës, a rented premises adapted for the illegal activity of prostitution.
3 citizens were put in handcuffs and work continues to catch 3 others involved in this criminal activity.
As a result of investigations carried out for 4 months, with proactive methods, at the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, for a case of the exploitation of prostitution, the Section for the Investigation of Crimes and Illegal Traffic finalized the coded operation "Rent", as a result of which citizens were arrested in the act:
AR, 33 years old, MD, 25 years old and FP, 25 years old, all three living in Tirana.
Also, the following citizens were declared wanted: AS, 42 years old, MR, 30 years old and KM, 24 years old, all three residents of Tirana.
During the operation, in neighborhood no. 1, Durrës, in the rented premises, which was adapted by the citizens of AR, MR and AS, for the practice of prostitution by the citizens of MD, FP and KM, the Police services found and seized a sum of money that is suspected to have benefited from this criminal activity and 3 cell phones.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions, for the criminal offenses "Prostitution", "Exploitation of prostitution" and "Owning premises for prostitution", committed in cooperation, announces police.
