A criminal group whose specialty was the trafficking of weapons, ammunition and tritol has been hit by the Tirana police in cooperation with the capital's prosecutor's office.
During the investigations carried out for this traffic line, a criminal event that happened in Tirana, where notary Esmeralda Dauti was charged, was revealed. Two people were arrested for this incident. The serious crime happened 5 days ago.
Meanwhile, it is known that weapons of various types were transported from Kosovo to Albania, being sold at different prices ranging from 1 to 5 thousand euros.
It is learned that a total of 6 people were arrested, where two of them were in prison for other criminal offenses and that their arrest was executed in the prison premises.
There are Kosovar citizens among the arrested persons. While 4 others were arrested yesterday evening for the charge of "Trafficking in weapons and explosives".
Checks were also made in the city of Kamza in a building in Bathore. During January, 7 remote control mines were seized and planned murders with these tools were prevented.
During the action, the Tirana police seized several weapons. While in one of the group's bases, a large amount of tritol mold was seized.
Tritoli and weapons entered Albania from Kosovo and were sold in the domestic market at different prices. Explosives were sold to members of criminal groups in several cities of the country.
It is expected that in the future the Tirana police will hold a press conference to provide concrete details of this operation, the way it was organized and the names of the arrested persons.
