The unsaid about the diary of the personal secretary and the order of Ramiz Ali
The first part
Haxhi Kroi, after Nexhmije Hoxha, has been Enver's most trusted man.
Chosen by him in the position of personal secretary, since he came to the head of the regime, he has served 40 years without interruption in the most important office of the communist state.
Known since the years of the war, Hoxha and Kroi, apart from the official reports, had an unwavering friendship until the end, unlike the reports with other collaborators, most of whom were destroyed on the way as "bakers" and " cheater".
Despite the fact that Kroi had no function in the party hierarchy, except that of a simple member of the Party, he, thanks to the blessing of Hoxha, possessed an absolute and often decisive power over important issues and the destinies of people, not excluding here ministers, senior citizens and members of the Politburo. It was this role attributed by Hjeshi that made him the monster and brain of the KQ apparatus for four decades in a row.
This is confirmed by contemporaries, former party officials whose work was linked to Hoxha's cabinet, those who served those years in the high forums of the Party, former governors, ministers, diplomats, ambassadors, etc. Kroi's special status, realized away from the eyes of the public, has been one of the unknown mysteries of Enver's cabinet and the way he operated at the head of the Party and the life of the country. The book reveals for the first time the diary of a discreet man, where the daily life in the most important office of the communist state is illuminated, from which the strangest stories and dramas, the most terrible events and tragedies, took their place.
With exemplary scrupulousness, Haxhi Kroi has thrown everything he has seen and heard for 40 years in the dictator's office. In thousands of pages, he has memorized the partial communication with the head of the regime and the unspoken things at the top of the dome of the Party and the Albanian state. Hoxha's rare confidant has accurately reflected in them the experiences, considerations, remarks and prognosis of expected developments in the country, but not only. It is a flow that until the end of the 60s comes in the form of notes, impressions and memories not chronologically systematized.
Duke filluar nga viti 1970 e deri në prill të vitit 1985, ditari i Kroit nuk ka asnjë ditë shkëputje. Madje shumë nga ngjarjet përshkruhen aty me orë e minuta. Njëherazi me kronikën e rëndomtë të punës në zyrë dhe takimet periodike me Hoxhën dhe partiakë të tjerë, një ritual i përditshëm ky, në ditar janë koleksionuar një sërë ndodhish të panjohura nga publiku, por edhe pjesa dërrmuese e lidershipit politik. Ka ndër to, që veç tij dhe Hoxhës, nuk i ka ditur tjetërkush, madje as Mehemt Shehu e Hysni Kapoa, të njohur ndryshe si dy njerëzit më të afërt të kreut të regjimit.
Pjesa më interesante e shënimeve të Kroit, padyshim janë ato që u referohen bisedave konfidenciale me “Njëshin” e Partisë për çështje të moralit dhe sjellejve degjeneruese, siç i quan ai, të partiakëve të lartë, ish anëtarëve të KQ, pa përjashtuar këtu byroistët dhe fëmijët e tyre. Sekretari personal i Hoxhës, sjellë kështu një profil të dimesionit rozë të jetës në Bllok, ku vëndin kryesor e zënë të pathënat për dashuriçkat e krushqitë e prishura në ozain e “sulltanatit komunists” Në faqet e këtij libri zbardhet një pjesë e tyre, duke hedhur dritë mbi të pathënat e kupolës komuniste, me të cilat kanë qenë të lidhura ngjarjet e bujshme dhe traumat e shoqërisë për gati gjysmëshekulli.
Të pathënat për fatin e botimit të ditarit të Kroit
“ Fakti që Haxhi Kroi, sekretari personal i Enver Hoxhës mbante ditar, është zbuluar vetëm pas vdekjes së këtij të fundit, në prill të vitit 1985. Në një nga takimet e pas-morit të dikatatorit, kur pasardhësi i tij Ramiz Alia, preokupohej për përjetësimin e figurës së Hoxhës, Kroi ka njohur të pranishmit me “thesarin” e vet me 40 blloqet e shënimeve nga takimet me kreun e regjimit. Ka mjaftuar kaq dhe Alia gati i ekzaltuar, i është hedhur në qafë njeriut diskret të Hoxhës dhe aty për aty ka urdhëruar botimin e tij, duke ua besuar shkruseve të përzgjedhur të Komitetit Qëndror, me të cilët paraardhësi kishte nxjerrë në dritë një kolanë me qindra vepra. Mirëpo, përkundër pritshmërive të larta, libri i Kroit nuk u botua kurrë, duke lënë mbrapa dilema e opinone nga më të ndryshmet. Në zërat që qarkullonin asokohe në koridoret e errtata të KQ, flitej se botimin e ditarit të Kroit e kishte pezulluar Nexhmije Hoxha, por askush s’përmëndëte arsyet e vendimit të befatë.
Porosia e Ramiz Alisë
One of the editors entrusted to prepare Kroi's book, claims that the order for its publication was communicated by Ramiz Alia at one of the meetings of the KQ secretaries in May 1985. In the conversation with Alia, he recalls, there was a group chosen by creators and politicians, who were called there to get acquainted with the decision of the Political Bureau for the publication of the series of memoirs about Enver Hoxha. Beyond the details of the meeting, the editor of Enver's works remembers Ali's order, who pointed out that apart from his and Nexhmija's book with memories of Enver, that of Hazhi Kroi and Ismail Kadare received first-hand priority. This was a decision that immediately found the approval of Hoxha's wife. The plan drawn up by Enver's successor included such a wide range of publications aimed at perpetuating the life and work of the "prominent leader and architect of communist Albania"
The KQ official recalls that this plan forced every one of the members of the Political Bureau, the Party Plenum, the Council of Ministers, people and personalities of art and culture to systematize for publication their memories of contacts and cooperation with Hoxha. The special commission set up for this purpose published the series of books with memories about Enver in record time. Surprisingly, Croy's book, which was expected with extraordinary interest, did not come to light, not only during the wave of that campaign announced by the Party dome, but also later.
