
The Albanian singer who lives and works in America, Enisa Nikaj, has been honored by the New York City Council for the achievements and services she has given to the community in this city.
For years, the artist lives and works in this city together with her family. The news was announced by Enisa herself through a post on Instagram, where the singer shared moments from the ceremony with her followers.
Enisa said that the "merit" of all her achievements goes to her parents, who made sure that she never forgets the culture of her country.
"My parents came to America from an Albanian town in Montenegro without any name. Even though I was born and raised in New York, they always made sure that I never forget our culture, the Albanian roots that made us in Tuzi Mali Zi world, it's something amazing. Thanks to the City Council for the honor! Albanian-Montenegrins around the world are proud to be among the first to pave the way for the next generation," she wrote next to the photos.
